Emirates Skywards - New EK website feature (interline search by price)

There's a new feature available on the EK website. Previously, when searching for a destination not served by EK, only search by schedule was possible. And then, one wouldn't know how the price would vary when selecting different interline carriers.

Now, it is possible to search by price. For example, I could search SIN-ATL, and even though EK doesn't serve ATL, it'll price out various options for the dates specified.

Sounds very useful.

When are they going to add the most important feature of all - seat plans before you pay for your ticket so you can see what is and isn't available before handing over your hard-earned only to find you are sat in the middle for a 10 hour flight when you go to reserve your seats.

IME it has been very accurate.


You can also use expedia.com, just make a request for the flights you want and it will allow you to pre-purchase your seats before paying. However, expedia usually shows the "disabled" seats - the dark blue ones - as taken and this can sometimes be almost every aisle seat on the plane which is misleading.
