Virgin Australia Velocity - Status Question

Hi All,

About to book SYD-ZQN (international short haul) return on VA Metal. I'm currently a Velocity Silver Member which expires in Sept 2012. If I make a booking now/before silver expiry but travelling in say November/December 2012 am i still entitled to advance seat selection and also 1 free checked baggage? i.e. the befits of being a silver member. Sorry if this is a silly question

p.s. I'm purchasing a saver fare.

If you can select your seat when you make the booking then I wouldn't think they would "remove" your selection after you drop a tier.
Regarding the baggage, you will be entitled to whatever baggage allowance your status permits when you check in for the flight.
