Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of that, but useful to know.

From time to time you can earn bonus points on point transfers to certain airlines (e.g., in the spring there was an offer of 50% more points when transferring MR points to BA: 1,000 Amex points = 1,500 Avios points).
