Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Online bkg problems........

We are big CX fans and have flown regularly to Indonesia for the last dozen years. Trying to book the following on cx.com: -

1. CX256 Q 04 NOV LHRHKG
2. CX103 Q 05 NOV HKGBNE
3. CX100 Q 14 NOV SYDHKG
4. CX255 Q 20 NOV HKGLHR

The site quotes a great fare of GBP821 and shows flights. It then allows you to get your credit card details at the payment stage at which point it then says that some or all of your flights are not actually available after all.

This totally awfully technology failing is starting to badly cloud my, hitherto, positive perceptions of CX. What a load of rubbish........

Should be available as long as the fare actually exist. Suggest you to call LHRCX to book it.

We have made a booking with Trailfinders in London as using an Agent has allowed us to create a PNR with waitlisted segments. This being the weekend, do Cathay Pacific have anybody available who can actually clear a seat for us? I need to book other segments on other carriers for our itinerary and am really iritated by having to phaff around like this due cx.com not reflecting GDS availability or vice versa!

That said, looking at your GDS display please try and create a Q class PNR and see if it will actually generate a CX booking reference?

Indeed, when I try to book the outbound the response is "LL" (waitlisted) instead of "SS" (sell segment), which is what one should see when booking seats that are available per availability display (especially when using direct access). Since CX's website has the same issue, I guess CX is just not reporting the correct availability.
