Same price from DC. Not as cheap per mile of course, but not a bad price to get to Europe given recent prices.

worked for Thanksgiving time as well (out of SFO), however, inbound for that price is solely on BA (no upgrades for AA EXP folks).
Put on hold SFO-MXP-ZRH-SFO for 11/22-11/25 with comfortable departure times.
Good find. Even though it's not close to LX offer to ZRH for $490 (from February 2012), it's still a good price

Wow, even works from SAN, 11/22 - 11/28 all on AA: SAN-JFK-ZRH-JFK-SAN. Too bad I don't need any Oneworld miles...
Cheers

Pretty solid SWU use if all segments are open as well. Dates?

Searched for LAS on aa.com and saw lot of possibilities (esp. on BA and IB). So, this seems to be a sale for virtually any US cities. However, the return (inbound) gets errors ("flights no longer available" message) for Thanksgiving/Christmas dates. Tried multi-city search on Kayak, and was able to get trips with stop-overs priced out correctly on Orbitz and Cheaptickets. This is a sign that AA is probably trying to kill the deal, so hurry up and book on 3rd party sites if you want to get in on the deal. I wish I had vacation days to take advantage of this.

It is, as long as it is AA metal.

I had the same problem. I was searching from IND and it seemed to vanish a few minutes ago but was seeing it before.

I was checking Thanksgiving dates on Kayak - Nov 21-25, not sure of your cities though. LAS-LON//LON (Nov23)-FCO(Nov25)-LAS.

Dead for me too. That's the rule folks, as soon as you find it, put 3-4 trips on hold that may work, won't cost you anything except for more money when the deal dies!

Actually I paid one of the ticket, the fare showed up to be $51.. the rest is YQ+tax+fee ... so this could be mistake? $25 each way base-fare?

That is what I saw. But again not necessarily a mistake. Certainly see $60-80 bf one way from time to time even from the West Coast.

It seems that way. It is better to get an ExpertFlyer membership and look up SWU availability that way. Faster and easier than calling AA, and no risk of incurring the wrath of your fellow FTers! Use the savings from this over a normal fare for this route for it, use the rest of the savings for a nice hotel!

They were gone for a bit, but back now. Just put 3 on hold for $695 over Christmas - maybe not the best fare ever, but a great winter vacation!

That was only for X inventory. You can still see C on EF for SWU application.

Of course. Why would I buy a Y ticket and not call and use my EVIPs? This wasn't some unusual fare - $6-700 to Europe in fall isn't remarkable.
Still seeing lots of mid $600's SEA - MAD/FCO/MXP/PRG and probably a lot more on aa.com in October.

You are permitted 24 hour layovers on international itineraries, so if you're interested in overnighting in London, this should be fine.

Use the multi city option with a break at LHR and a morning flight the next day out of LHR.

I just did PRG over the new years holiday with the night of the 31st in London. It's just shy of 24 hours. AA actually priced it out that way without me having to even use the multi-city option

I have noticed discrepancy between AA upgrade availability and Expertflyer. In the last two weeks I set up alerts which showed open space about 24 hours n advance but AA upgraded much earlier. There have been times where EF shows no availability but when u call AA, they have upgrade space. I have been able to upgrade on AA when EF shows no availability.

As an EXP you have access to extended award and upgrade inventory that isn't published in the GDS. Also if new inventory is allocated shortly after it is released by AA then the alerts may not see it.
