I have 2 separate flights booked through Tiger Airways TPE-SIN and SIN-BLR

TPE-SIN arrives at Changi 7:15pm and SIN-BLR departs 9:50pm so there is 2hrs 35 mins for the change.

I will have checked baggage so will have to go out through immigration/customs, pickup bags and go back in through immigration and security.

Question - does Tiger airways have a way to transfer luggage between one flight to another or check luggage through to BLR at TPE so I don't have to officially enter Singapore?

Second question - is 2hrs 35mins sufficient to do this? Can this be done in say 1 hr incase the 1st flight is delayed?

I do not think so since it's booked as 2 separate flights and considering it's a budget airline. Maybe you can ask them when you check-in at TPE.

I think should be doable if you check in with 1 hour remaining on the clock.

Jetstar is stationed at Terminal 1 in Singapore Changi airport so once you step out of the arrival hall, you can just go up one level to the departure hall and check-in again. The only problem here is if you encounter a long queue at customs or long wait when picking up your checked baggages, that might delay you IF your flight is delayed....

The Tiger Airways website is quite clear about luggage requirements when you piggyback flights..

Tiger Airways is strictly a 'point-to-point' airline. We therefore do not offer and cannot facilitate, the transfer of passengers or their baggage to other flights, whether operated by Tiger Airways or other airlines.

Check-in must be done at each port of embarkation. All passengers are to ensure they have relevant travel documents/visas where necessary

So you will have to pass through immigration and then check in again. However 2Hrs 35min should be plenty as check in only closes 45 mins before departure. As long as the incoming flight is not delayed of course. Having said that, plenty of people do it but with the LCC's its at your risk and you our on your own if you miss the second flight even if its their 1st flight that delayed you. Caveat Emptor...

Also be aware that the budget terminal is closing on September 24th so you might be in the main airport at T2 which will probably be rather crowded and with risk of delay as a consequence..

Yes, thanks for the info. I guess I missed that part.

I'm thinking even if I am delayed by an hour incoming, 1.5 hrs to do the connection should still be plenty even if I have to exit/re-enter Singapore. The only thing I was concerned about was baggage collection but I am told Changi has the fastest baggage collection times of any airport so i'm optimistic.

baggage collection is fine. It's the line-up/mad-house of the check-in for budget airlines that can be nasty at times.

Thanks, wondering if I can check in for the 2nd flight online while in Taipei itself and then just do a bag drop in Changi. This should save me some time correct? Tiger airways website states that web checkin is unavailable, hopefully that is temporary?

It is very likely that you arrive at the Budgetterminal (if your flight is before the september deadline), which would mean you have to take the shuttle-bus to T2. Assuming you are connecting to SQ/MI the check-in deadline would be 45min, which gives you 1:50 hrs for the transfer (clear immigration/collecting luggage/transfer to T2).
However I see already Tigerairways aircraft docking at T2, maybe you are lucky. This would ease everything, Immigrations at luggage collection is really smooth there and honestly there wouldnt be much of a problem even your flight is slightly delayed.

SQ325, thanks. My flight is in mid Oct. so yes, I will be arriving and departing in T2 :) I will be connecting to another Tiger airways flight SIN-BLR in the very same terminal..the only issue is baggage collection and immigration/customs. Glad to know these things go along very smoothly at Changi.
