Daniel Shurz's reply today on Twitter when asked

any chance we will see F9 pick up additional A319/20s to backfill for E90s going to @USAirways?

There's no specific news but we see the A319s and 320s as core to the future fleet

You can read between the lines for upcoming plans.

My guess is the rest of the E90s are gone as soon as they either find a CPA deal or can be sold. One curious thing I saw somewhere is that USAirways isn't putting forward a lot of capital on this deal, so I wonder what the transaction actually looked like. We will hopefully get more details in RJET's call next week.

Start waving goodbye to Buddy the Badger. Frontier will have officially left MKE with nothing.

The upside: If the three E190s still in Midwest paint (165,168,171) and the one in RAH colors (173) are included in the five, F9 will have all aircraft in F9 colors!

I can only hope the end is very near for this investment that never proved to go anywhere... All the RAH employees will rejoice when BB A) sells or merges B) scrapes it for the junk heap it is....

I'm curious that this is your sentiment on this topic as it is 5 less planes that Republic airlines is flying. We know your opinion on Frontier, but wouldn't it be better if those 5 birds stayed at Republic?

...scrapes it for the junk heap it is.You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but as one of Frontier's customers who tends to fly on Classic Plus fares, reading your negative posts really leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I left United for Frontier several years ago because of attitudes just like your expressing here infected their flight crews throughout their system.

As a business owner, I've been lucky to recognize that failure provides guidance to finding the best way to succeed in what we are collectively doing. And, attitude plays an enormous part in determining how we look at our experiences, setbacks, events, and current situations. Therefore, I've learned that we become our own biggest obstacle when we have a negative attitude towards things. So, it's not a coincidence that many successful people all have a positive attitude, and it takes effort and commitment to have a positive attitude. Therefore, I encourage you to bring a positive attitude to your present work situation and contribute to your company's success rather than berating its failures. Your customers are rooting for your success. I'm sure your company hopes its employees are too.

Best Wishes.

Geez, so now it looks like all the E190s are on their way out? The flip-flopping just never seems to stop over there, does it? It wasn't too long ago that Bryan Bedford touted adding E190s to the fleet as a necessity to replace the "outdated" technology of the 717s.

BB had great hopes.. but not the cash reserve or willingness to rewrite Republic's RJ but F9's cash draining flying to make the new Frontier competitive. He's old school greed based on his cash cow RJ contracted flying. But running an airline that's way different.

So F9 is now on it's own. And the future for RAH RJ flying is in real limbo with low fuel cost, low interest rates, and a lot of mainline aircraft qualified pilots and larger aircraft available. But RAH doesn't have the unrestricted cash to even lease one larger aircraft let alone reserves to survive September.

I don't want to instigate a mob reaction here, but your point is spot-on.
Only tangentially related, I just happened to read this (http://www.foxbusiness.com/personal-finance/2012/07/26/how-one-word-can-kill-your-career/) a little while ago.

To keep this on-topic, I really enjoy the E190s when I can get 'em, especially up front with the 1x2 configuration. It will be a sad day for me when they go.

I wonder what F9 will do to serve the cities that were handled by Q400s and now the E190s? Will frequency be reduced to keep the same overall capacity, or will they keep the same schedule and have empty seats?

The EJets being brought to Midwest was a Midwest decision. We know you don't like Bedford, but give it a rest.

Huh? RJET is arguably the best positioned regional to deal with the coming 50 seater apocalypse. They have the highest percentage of 70+ seat RJs and are actively working to restructure Chautauqua. They just won the United Q400 contract and I'd put money on it that they'll get a share of the new Delta 70+ seat contract.

As for larger aircraft, Republic still has the C-Series order on the books. What happens to those birds are anyone's guess, but if you think RJET should do another branded experiment in a few years, they have that option.

I agree, the E90 is my favorite F9 aircraft to fly. I would guess that the markets will either have to upgauge to Airbus or be dropped. While I would guess that the E90s will be gone eventually, they will still have a fair number of them for awhile to figure out their plans.

We wont have a net loss of airplanes and DEN is slated to be one of the largest bases for the Q400.

As a pre acquisition employee of RAH that flew F9 the first time. I can tell you my attitude isnt the one that needs to be changed. F9 employees are some of the rudest grumpiest most bitter people I have ever come across. Both before and after the acquisition. The airbus employees have continually made it hard to work F9 flights. The support staff is very unreliable. Managements decisions continually make the experience onboard very difficult. Sorry I have lost entirely too much because of this airline. I wont be sad to see it merged, sold or shut down.

I was very positive for the first 2 years. I cant be positive about a failing situation.

You could not be more right. I had the same experiences in my dealings with the F9 employees.

No doubt the best positioned RJ provider but they're still on the hook for F9's success or failure. At some point they could just write it off though I doubt they are anywhere near the unrestricted cash position to do that. That could in the end risk it all.

The CS contract is also a huge obligation until they find a place for them... It's the fat lady in waiting, ready to sing. But it would margin the sure to come 70ish seat apocalypse. That wouldn't be a win...

There has to sometime be a market driven renewal of new regionals with small turboprops and interlining with the pressure on the government to drop EAS routes.

RJet failed at running an airline so unless they bring in a group with free reign and competitive bidding on whatever RJ flying needs to be flown to make a network the whole thing might go down.
