Dear Flyer Talk Members,
I am planning on doing a semi-backing trip to BKK- Thailand and I am new to this. I was hoping to receive some advice booking one way ticket ( Chicago - OHare to Bangkok- Thailand ). I am looking for a ticket now but I am having trouble.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you'll need to provide more information, such as:
1) What kind of ticket are you booking? (paid or award)
2) What airline if award ticket?
3) What trouble exactly are you having? Dates? Connections?
4) Any preferences/restrictions on airline?

Booking an int'l one-way ticket can be very tricky in terms of immigration (they usually require you prove that you intend to leave the country). If you check the forums at www.thaivisa.com, you will find a wealth of info and advice on exactly what is required by Thailand immigration and how best to work the system, since many members do this on a regular basis (and the rules are constantly changing). If you plan on staying over 1 month, get your VISA in advance from the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate. They waived the fee on 60 day visas a few years ago, not sure if they ever reinstated them.
