I have the Chase Priority Club visa, and I'm Platinum member. I just recently stayed two nights at a Holiday Inn. I got 10x the $ cost as the base points, plus 5x due to the Priority Club visa, plus 50% bonus due to Platinum, plus 1000 points per night bonus due to some promotion. When I go to redeem them I'll get a 10% rebate. All in all, I probably earned 10,000 points in two nights, for about $250. On top of that, I get treated like a customer should be treated, meaning I reserved the cheapest room and got put in their best room (a suite on the top floor), plus free wifi, plus a welcome bag (small stuff but still).
It's really worth it to get all this stuff organized. I take a few business-paid trips like this and I get meaningful free nights for vacation use at nice locations. I already had 4 nights at a fantastic Intercontinental in Europe for about $300 due to previous points savings, and that was all before I had the Priority Club visa. If I had had that Visa a few years ago I would have twice the points.
I will note that Priority Club points are worth not as much as air miles, but still, they can add up quickly if you are Platinum and get that Priority Club visa.
