I am a *G on a UA issued award ticket.
My BKK-SIN flight is on a 340-600 sold as a 2 class aircraft.
Row 1 and 2 are blocked. Will they open those up at the airport, and if so, is it first come first serve or is there some kind of priority?
Reservations told me they could not get them at this point.
Not a big deal for a short flight but just curious.

If you can't get these pre-allocated, your best bet is to check in as early as possible. Maybe they will use the first cabin for business class seating. However, they may also close the cabin off and not allow anyone to use it (in which case you may find it is where the crew rest ;))
In the event the seats are pre-allocated or allocated at the airport, I would imagine preference would be given to TG*Ps, TG*Gs and then *A*Gs.

You cannot get them I am afraid.
I was on a BKK-SIN flight on a A 340-600 two weeks ago and the F section was closed and seats not used.
For info the return fluight that was also supposed to be on a A340-600 ended up being a dreadful A 300-600

Interesting how that pesky little '4', which the Chinese avoid so much, makes such a huge different in the a/c. ;)

My experience is that the first class cabin will be closed. One can probably only use its toilets.
It was closed. SIN contracted check in agent asked the TG manager-on-duty who confirmed they would remain vacant.
