Hertz - how do I use rewards?

I had 6000 points in my account, so I went to "use awards" and chose one that was worth 2000 points from the long list - and then clicked "submit".
Nothing happened except the points were deducted... I wasnt given an option to choose location or time...
Where did my points go? What am I doing wrong?

I am pretty sure you did nothing wrong, when you click submit the points are deducted and you are taken to the reservation screen. You then choose your location date and car type etc ( or show me all ) and a PC code is applied, if the car type is not valid it tells you etc.

with regard to your lost points, log in again and see if they are there, also check that you have no outstanding reservations etc
