Apologies if this belongs in a another thread, but I was wondering if cx requires me to show the credit card used to party taxes and fees for a redemption booking. This particular booking was made using avios points not asia miles.

Is there anywhere in manage my booking that I can check to confirm that the credit card is not needed? I have since canceled the cars which I used to pay the taxes and fees but since ba pays cx all cost associated with the redemption, I'm not sure cx would care. But I would appreciate any advice you can offer!

Finally, if the card is needed and I don't have it, what would cx expect me me to pay: just the taxes and fees? Or would they want something more?

Not for Asia Miles redemptions. Assume similar treatment for Avios.

They didn't ask me for my credit card with my Avios booking. This was in early July. (Technically mine is a BA miles booking before they switched over to Avios :p )

Can someone confirm this? i booked an award flight from HKG to TPE round trip, but didn't use my own credit card for taxes. I did this online, so I don't understand why they would need to see the credit card, which I will not have with me since it isn't mine.

Confirmed. I used my +1's SCB Visa to pay for award tix taxes on my last TPE boys' trip. My mates were aghast when they saw her name and card # in the confirmation. I was not asked to produce my +1's SCB Visa (or my +1) during the trip.
