Awesome find, OP, I actually did this last year LAX-DTW-MIA-DTW-LAX in 20 hours with a redeye going out. I think it was $200 last year in September.

If only AA will match this, then I will be definitely jumping into it.

AA earlier matched the original DL price of $233ai from some DL hubs....here are a some I noticed:
AA: ATL-SMF/RNO/SJC/SEA/PDX
AA: DTW-SEA/SFO
AA: MSP-ORF/CHS/RSW/BHM
AA: SLC-PHL/STL
AA: MEM-SEA/LAS/PHX
I am sure some have been left off this list....in other words, check city pairs you are interested in....obviously some of these will will not be MR worthy....

I see STL-LAX (or reverse) round-trip available as low as $208 all-in routing through MEM, but it only goes up to $212 routing through other hubs. Going via ATL both ways nets 4,892 miles at 4.3 cpm.

Not surprisingly, I have not seen any AA matches to/from their hubs....but there are AA fares out there (probably not as good for a MR when compared to the DL fares)....for example:
AA: SJC-ATL/MSP $233ai

Could this have been pulled as I was searghing it? Matrix showed $214 on calendar then prices appear $398+ when I move to individual flights!!

DL appeared to have pulled their fares starting at 9:00 PM EDT. They appeared to be gone from all sources almost immediately. I wasn't looking to book, but had the same thing happen to me while I was browsing STL-LAX inventory.

Deal just died as I was booking it.... :(
