It used to be that as long as you paid before the next statement went to press it was ok. Now it seems they are taking their "pay by" date rather seriously - ie about 4 days earlier than in the past. (I am not talking about the 60 days that you used to get). I got zapped with a $25 fee which they kindly took off but this was a lesson learned. Anyone else had this experience?
Maybe they don't like people managing their cash flow like I do. Since by chance my Amex comes up the same day as Diners I will now punish Diners for a while by using Amex whenever I can. No doubt it punishes the vendors too as Amex rip them off more than Mastercard and I assume Diners give them standard (lower) Mastercard rates.
