I just got back from ORD and I thought I'd chime in with a short report. Flew out Sunday the 16th PHL-ORD and returned on Friday 7/20 on US5. Some observations.

Boarding - Still a cluster fornication if ever there was one. The gate areas on C in PHL are not huge and I think that's part of it. Ditto for F10 in ORD. The process does get everybody on board in a timely fashion and we boarded on time both flights.

In Flight - Beverage service was prompt and pleasant. The had held device held took my money without a hitch which the F/A upon inquiry mentioned that wasn't always the case. They mentioned snack but never pimped them to us. Kind of a shame as I would have bought some I think.

Cleanliness - Both aircraft were SPOTLESS and looked brand new (maybe they were)

Seat pitch was acceptable, not great but hey it's coach on a domestic airline. All in all I'd give it an A for coach service. If they can get M/L service consistent then they have come a very long way. These two flights were more than acceptable even in 22D.

Nice report. If you think US's boarding process is a cluster - try UA's. :D

US5 was flown by N624AW on the 20th, built in 1989. :D

You can't board a plane that either goes mechanical or lacks a flight crew prior to the boarding time.

Agree. Can't believe how many boarding zones does UA have.:p

I flew UA ICN-SFO in F last month and it was ridiculous. GS and F weren't called first. They just called zone 1 which was pretty much every elite, F, and C pax. Talk about chaos. :td:

Definitely not worthy of an F or C experience. :td:
