Other Car Rental Programs (ie. Alamo, Enterprise) - Sirius stops working - ask for freebies?

Currently have a rental from Enterprise due to a not-at-fault accident. They sold me a $5/day upgrade to an SUV with Sirius. Figured I'd take it since I normally drive a boring sedan and the Impala they were offering is the definition of vanilla boring.
The problem is that the radio got unsubscribed after about 2 hours of using it. Is it worth asking for coupons, refund of the fee, etc? Or would I be unreasonable to ask for one?

Depends. Did they upsell you, specifically stating that the vehicle was Sirius equipped? If so, I would ask for a refund on the upgrade charges. On the other hand, if you just happened to get in the vehicle and realized that you had scored an active Sirius subscription (albeit short lived) with no mention from the Enterprise rep, you're outta luck. That's how the chips fall sometimes. In either case, you could always go back and see if they'd trade for a newer vehicle which would more likely have more time left on the Sirius subscription (if so equipped). Good luck.

I would call Enterprise and ask them to call Sirus to resubscribe the car. If you paid extra for this car then you can ask for reimbursement other than that there is really not much you can ask for as Sirrus is just an added bonus to the car.

I've never known Enterprise Holdings (Enterprise, National or Alamo) to subscribe to satellite radio outside of the trial subscription that's provided with most new vehicles. You can call and ask but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

mmm... that's the info I was looking for. Seems like they'll just say it's not a guaranteed benefit even though they guy did mention it when he tried to upsell.
I'll give it a try but won't push too hard, thanks!
