Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Lounge at TLV

Why doesn't LH/LX have a lounge at TLV? Per reports that they have there 50 HONs, 2000 SENs, which is quite amount of elites, as of now LH is the 2nd largest carrier at TLV, why don't they have their own lounge there? (or any airline as no one have there)

What's the problem with the DAN lounge? I've come to like it.

Between them, and even with the upcoming reduced capacity on the FRA-TLV route, LH and LX (plus the likes of UA etc) do have enough flights to warrant a Star lounge.

What's wrong with the DAN lounge? It's completely sub-standard in relation to most LH-run lounges I've been to. The selection of food is appalling, and the selection of alcohol is even worse. It's always crammed full of Israelis who get in there by virtue of this credit card or that one, and there is hardly ever anywhere to sit.

If no one has their own lounge, it may be space/cost/benefit issue in general?

What I found a bit strange is that when I fly LH out of TLV, I get the "private room" in the Dan Lounge, if I fly LX just the standard room, not that there is much of a difference, except for that the "private room" has service and is quieter, but same food and same drinks...

But TLV is 100x better than RUH with their "first class lounge" :)

I presume it's because of HON, but only on LH, not on LX...

I actually like them. I've always found a place to sit and I like the food and drink selection, especially the soup. And there's free internet.
