Pretty good deal. Spend $2250 for 15k miles. It's like 15 miles/$.

Interesting as the offer from late last year/early this year (posted by jcmitchell21 above) was for $1250 spend for three straight months. I wonder if they will repeat this offer for people who got the earlier one? If not, at least I might get it on my new Barclays US Airways card. :)

It is targeted and it is a good deal. I received the email for my card but my husband didn't get one for his. He had just completed a similar deal on the Barclays Travelocity card though. Now if only I could find my card, it was a use-once-and-be-done-with-it-forever type -- until this came along.

I haven't gotten it. I hardly use my US card though - mostly for US purchases. Funny thing is if I got a promo like this I'd actually use my card.

Not that any of us ever know how they select who to target, but I got my card in April, and then used it sporadically, mostly at Sam's Club which takes only Mastercard (this was my only Mastercard). I probably charged a couple hundred a month in the two months before I got targeted.

Obviously I'm taking advantage of it.

I haven't seen this myself yet, but I have received similar offers in the past.

After I spend $25k on the card, I usually switch to my HHonors AMEX for most of my spending, with just merchants who don't take AMEX on this card.

Not sure if they look through trends, but it certainly has been a way for them to get a little more business from me later in the year.

did you put a substantial amount of spend on the card before getting targeted for this offer? i'd love to take advantage of this and i'm wondering what i need to do I didn't spend over, say, $400 but I did take advantage of the 1st 90 day (after card activation), O% bal trsnfr and 1 mile each dollar offer which came in handy because school summer employment is another victim of our worsening, or stagnant economy (yes, I'm on that boat).

They appear to be targeting customers who don't normally charge a lot on their card each month, and hoping the 15,000 miles will induce them to do so.

I wonder if this was targeted at folks who rarely us their card.

I put basically EVERYTHING on mine and have no trouble breaching the $25,000 PQM threshold.

I've haven't used mine in 2 1/2 months, hoping to get this offer, so far not so good.
