Hey guys I wanted to let you know that target on-line is offering target gift cards at a discount. They are taking off $10 off $100 until tonight.
Right now you can sell a $100 target gift card for $92 on plastic jungle and cardpool.
Not only can you get your credit card spending up you actually make a little money. (although they do charge shipping of $1.95 per order but topcashback supposedly pays 4% if you are a risk taker)
The discount shows up at checkout.

So each order yields 90 ffm and $4? ... assuming everything goes as planned.
The mint yielded 1000's of miles per order at no cost.
Not the same.

Thanks for the info. Not for miles, but I bought a $200 card for $192.08 through Ebates. May get $4 back there. Good deal since we shop at Target.

you have to buy these in $100.00 increments right? Does anyone know if cardpool or plastic jungle take ecards? Anyone going for a big spend on this? I could use it to top off my BA card.

No cash back on gift card purchases. When you do go to redeem the GC's you can go through your favorite portal however. I'd recommend Topcashback with 9.5% back on everything but babycare and electronics it looks like.
Right, this is far from the Mint, but thanks for a highlighting a great deal for those with Target CC's like me. 5% of all purchases everyday, plus 9.5% back from TCB on top of that, and free shipping always = a reason for me to move all applicable target items to online ordering vs in-store.

I see the exclusion of gift cards on ebates, but not TCB. Did I just not look in the right place?
Why does OP equate TCB with being a risk taker?

I spend about $200 a month at Target.
Are you saying you can use these to bump up your spend? Or you can just save 15% off $100.
I notice if you put in an order for 4 100 cards you only get $10 off. So how do you get more? Make two separate transactions?
Also it says you can have it sent by mail, email, or mobile.
I assume most want mail?

Risk is bit high for me, in the week or two it takes for cards to ship the buy rates at cardpool/plasticjungle will probably have be influenced by the sale, which both increases supply of cheap cards and lowers number of buyers...

At slickdeals they are churning the electronic/mobile versions, using gift cards to buy gift cards (pocketting $10 a turn). Sounds like the e-mails are not instant (w/i 4 hours).
Not how I roll. But I am considering getting 10 or so to knock out some spend.

Can you just get, say, 10 eGift Cards in separate orders now. Then tomorrow or whenever buy 10 physical GC's and pay the $1.95 shipping fee once. Then mail all the 10 GC's in the same envelope to PlasticJungle?
It's looking like $3 per 100 points or $1500 for 50,000 points from doing this provided you don't get cashback (which you shouldn't since GC's are excluded).

I agree, I was about to jump on the offer until I realized you can't sell the cards until you imput the actual card number (who knows if that 92% will remain constant if the market is flooded with Target cards). If you do plan on selling, don't forget that cardpool can have a limit of $2,000/week.

I ended up buying one $100 card; if you buy it and select mobile there's no shipping, and you can use any card you want to add to your spend. If you want the plastic, best to use TARGET card, no shipping.
Anyone buy more? I would probably buy a few more if I could away with it.

I bought five. Figured at worst I could use them in store to buy Kindle gift cards and then convert them to Amazon $ (so $500 in credit = $450 in cost). They also have DIsney cards. How often can you get 10% off a cruise, disney tickets, disney hotels, etc. For many people those could be hugely valuable

That was my plan too until I found out that Target had parted ways with Amazon months ago and haven't carried an AZ GC in a while. If your store still has some consider yourself lucky.

Yeah, not a spectacular deal, but selling through Cardpool I'll recoup my money and I need to hit a high initial spend for one of my new cards.

I had only ordered $400, and honestly this was spending that I was moving to Target from other retailers. I would think that was the outcome Target wanted from this. If they fail to deliver on my order, they will drop right down to the bottom of my preferred retailers, permanently.

I grabbed six. Mostly to knock out a piece of my 6K minimum spend for my recent apps. Grabbed one last foam finger late as they were shutting it down.
Not sure if I'll just burn them off in our usual target spend or resell them. Probably just pocket the 10% discount and use them.

I was not playing the e-gift card game others were as I wanted to hit spending on a card. So, I bought 27 $100 Target physical gift cards so I can resell on PJ or Cardpool. I got each for $92.07 ai shipping/tax. I should be able to sell for at least $92. (PJ has been dropping pay on this already as it is nice you can use topcashback.com with them to pick up another 4%.) I may even use a couple for regular spending.
I checked after 10 PM central, and you could not get the deal anymore, so Target must have realized they were being nailed by Flyertalker/readers of Frequent Miler.......
This was such a great way to meet minimum spend......

I ended up getting 7 - $100 eCards and 4 - $25 eCards. Finally received them around noon today. Went thru TopCashBack for 4% to Cardpool. Basically made $8 but was able to add $800 of spend to a card that needed it.
Little bit of a hassle, but hey, that comes with the territory. :p

I tried buying yesterday at about 9:20 pm California time. No go, even though the website was advertising the deal next to the gift cards.
After contacting Target customer service, I got the response "deal only good until midnight Eastern time." Weak. Too bad they weren't willing to honor their own advertised price, which didn't contain that information. Thought about doing a screen grab and elevating the issue, just on general truth-in-advertising principles, but not really worth it.

You should have pushed back. The promotion details were as follows:
Spend $100, Save $10 on select items. Discount applied at checkout. Discount excludes clearance items. May not be applied to previous orders. Offer expires 07/24/2012 at 11:59 PM EST.
Since they didn't take into account Daylight Saving Time and specified EST (UTC -5:00) you were in before expiration of the offer (11:59 PM EST = 12:59 AM EDT = 9:59 PM PDT)...

Yes, Virginia there really is a Cardinal Fang! The automated Target ordering process loops through a manual process and that is where Cardinals Biggles and Ximenez were waiting. Saw the set up and just picked up 1 card. But remember there are three things certain in life - death, taxes and that internal controls degrade over time. Maybe the good cardinals will be caught napping the next time.:p

There is a good chance of cancellation, but those of us who have been in the game long enough know the secret to our sucess is the failure of internal controls, their inconsistent application, or the ability to override them. You may get lucky, like my protege, who was able to refill green dot cards using credit cards at gas stations, at least for awhile.:p
And, for the record I don't worship my peer cardinals - why that would be blasphemy! As a member of The Spanish Inquisition, our fanatical devotion is to The Pope. And speaking of which, Pope Alexander VI wuz robbed - he should have had his own TV reality show "Being Bad with the Borgias."
So, old cardinal fang worshiper, you think I will be cancelled?

I sure hope you like shopping at TARGET!
Do you think they will ever do this again??? I'm sure they enjoyed the extra cash flow. It's not really that hard on them, since they already have a 5% discount if you use their credit card. It's only really costing them 5% more.
I like the idea of buying the gift cards; I shop there on a regular basis, so it's a win-win.
