I checked with the local store in Reading MA, and they had no clue about this. They suggested calling Bose's 800 number, and there they told me that this promo is only in NY and NJ. Is that what others are finding too?

Nice, in chicago area, it is available in oakbrook according to website ( I will call MI ave since it is closer to me).
I will give it a try, in my experience, these offers do post, last Bose offer was 1000AA miles, and I got them posted promptly, in terms of MR, I tried this EURO made $100K bed (yes, $100K, made by hand and horse hair) and was emailed a 1K MR certificate...so I do have faith in these offers.

Just a quick heads u...went to a local store in NJ and saw the demo, but they knew nothing of the promo, had no certificates, and called Bose marketing, etc. to no avail. Nobody seemed to know a thing! So...called Amex and confirmed that they do indeed have this promo going on. I'll get my points one way or another!

I did the demo yesterday at the Soho store and they took my e-mail and membership rewards # only. Had to look up that number on my phone at the store, not something I've committed to memory. They said the points would post automatically but perhaps it will be e-mailed as a cert instead?

Hopefully the Bose people aren't too high-pressure. This thing is 6k - no wonder they can offer 20k MRs for someone to buy it!

Now the store in Reading MA does have the promotion, but the one down the street in Burlington MA still says it does not. After the promo, they enter your name, address, phone, and email into their system. Presumably you will receive a redemption code in the email.

I tried to check this out today. Nobody at the store had any idea what I was talking about. In fact, they said someone else came in with a printout from "some website" and they weren't sure it was legitimate. Sounds like a printout of this thread has made its way out!

They took my name and number and said someone would call me. We''ll see.

Just went to the Bose store in Tysons Corner here in VA. The reps all knew what I was talking about and quickly did the demonstration. At the end the guy said, "Ok lets get you those points." He then had me fill out a paper with my contact information and said as soon as he's able to log onto the computer, he'll get the points sent to me.

If I dont get anything in my e-mail within a week I'll give em a call or head back and see whats up.

Watched the demo today at the Bose store at the Time Warner Center in NYC. Clerk took my name and email address. He did not want my Membership Rewards number which I brought to the store. Let's hope it posts.

Same, no MR number needed. The system was pretty cool (but pretty expensive!) Apparently, the demo/promo was supposed to be for NYC only, but they decided to honor it in other stores if the customer mentions it.

They will send your name and address to Amex to verify. Not sure how long it'd take for the MRs to post or for you to get the code via email.

I was e-mailed the certificate this morning. I did the in-store demo on 7/25 in NYC, so about 2.5 weeks to process.

After depositing the certificate online, Amex said it would take another 24 hours to post to my MR account.

I went to the Factory store in St. Augustine. One clerk seemed to know what I was talking about. He handed us cards to fill out. I was a little concerned because it seemed to be a sweepstakes entry. Hopefully, we will get the e-mail certificate soon.

I can report that I saw a demo at a FS near Concord, NC and got my points. The staff were very helpful. When I went in, one had not heard about it. The other had heard but said that it was for Showroom stores only. However, they agreed to give the demo, take my info. and check higher up. They made a few calls while I was there and there was obvious confusion with the promo. I wasn't very optimistic but, they called me about 5 days later and said that a decision had been made (due to the higher than anticipated response) to expand this promo to cover all Bose stores, including FS. About 1 more week passes and yesterday, I got my certificate by email from Amex with instructions on how to redeem online. I redeeemed and got a confirm. email from Amex saying it was received. The points had not actually posted to my MR account as of last night, but I expect it may just be a normal system delay.

You may have to get a Bose employee to make a few calls, but, based on what I was told, it appears that this is now availavle at FS. They will want your name and email address, which they will submit so that you get the email cert. from Amex.

They also gave me additional info that others might find helpful.

Does anyone know if an AU would be able to get a bonus with this promo? They are linked to the same account so I'm not sure if she would qualify since it technically is not her account. Curious if I could send my significant other to try to get the points . . . as she grits her teeth the entire time. I might have to dangle a carrot or two, being as we'd be at the mall.

I went to the one in Century City today (semi near you). The CSR knew exactly how to register us in the system for the promo. He typed in all our info into the computer and said we would be receiving an email from Amex soon.

Interesting point was that the CSR mentioned that the promo was originally only targeted for residents of New York and that the link had been passed around quite a bit. Still, he was very friendly and the demo was pretty awesome. That TV is amazing!!

The TV sounded great but seemed awfully thick for an LED.Yep, the Bose rep said the TV was 6" thick. That's what they had to do to build those huuge speakers into the TV :)

I stopped by the Bose store at MOA yesterday and they were running the promo and knew all about it. I did the demo (kind of awkward being alone in a dark room with some Bose store clerk for 8 minutes) and they took my e-mail and info down and said the point voucher would be coming in the mail. All in all, a pretty easy process.

I visited the Bose store in Belleuve, WA on August 11. The store staff said they only know a promo called AMXDEMO, no AMXTV. They took my name, address, and email, and said they don't know how it is going to work, but you just need to wait. So far nothing happened.

You would probably need an MR Amex card: Blue (not cash/sky), Zync, Premier Rewards/Gold, Platinum, Centurion. I doubt that SPG works.

My understanding is that it has to be any MR-earning AMEX card. They don't ask for your card or anything at the store, just your e-mail, to which you're supposed to get a voucher. You then use that to get the MR points credited to your account...but you have to have an MR account/card that earns MR points.

Did you call the corporate headquarters number (508) 879-7330? I watched the demo on 7/29 and have not received my certificate yet and have a feeling the store did not do anything.

Yes, that is the number that I called - the only other thing that I am wondering is if the e- mail addresses have to match to my credit card e-mail address? I have an e-mail just for the credit cards and one for everything else. As I was giving the e-mail to a vendor, I used my other e-mail.

Hi, I recently joined MR through AMEX Bus. Platinum card and did the Bose demo mid Aug and just redeemed the certificate yesterday. My second month CC statement is yet to close in a week but I still have 0 points available on my MR account. I do however have 2500(demo) + 2143 (spending for first statement month) pending. Is that normal? I already paid the first month balance and I am curious as when these pending points will become available. Thanks.

Yes, I'm having trouble applying the code too. I called AMEX and they confirmed that my plat is valid for this promo and is (of course) linked to my Membership Rewards account. The AMEX CSR sees no reason why I can't get it to work. He confirmed my plat card, my MR account, my email, everything tied to the account. :confused:

After I submit all the required info, I can't seem to get the system to "take" it. Anyone else experienced this?

One thing I learned about the new Bose system is that it only works in an enclosed room. I was about to purchase when the salesman asked where I would be using it which is a room open to other parts of the house , and he said it would not work effectively.

Thanks. We have an "open" floor plan in our house and I don't have an enclosed room (excepting the bedrooms of course) that I could put it in.

I though briefly about putting it on my bedroom but I just replaced the TV there last year and it would actually bed a waste since I don't watch that much TV there.

It has been a challenge to get the points for my husband and me. I'm now half way there. I had an email contact at the local Bose store. I was told by them over and over that I needed to be patient and the cert would come. Then last week, after the promo period closed, they said oops - you need to contact AMEX. I did and of course AMEX said that Bose was responsible for the promo, there was nothing they could do.

I then contacted Bose and eventually made my way to Customer Service at 800-637-8781. The person to whom I spoke took down my husband and my info, and sent it on to the fulfillment people. Today, one email arrived (my husband's name and my email address) with one cert number.

I viewed the demo and filled out the card before calling to follow up with the store associate, who said he'd "forgot" to enter my info in the system but assured me he's doing it during the call. Weeks later, I reached the manager, who found "no trace" of my info but will see to it himself. Nothing after that, so I called customer service once — rep never heard of promo — and twice (same reply). I finally called headquarters and left a polite message with the head of promotions and one for his assistant. Neither helped. When I reached headquarters a second time to express concern, I was directed to an executive running an outreach team that answers to the company president. Apparently this issue needs to reach that high up to get it going. That was three weeks ago when the executive said he'd take ownership of my question and follow up within days. Which has become nearly a month, and he hasn't followed up. Bose, you're harming your brand, alienating customers and reversing progress from the promotion.
