OK. We have seen this before, with a code that is (for once) properly targetted and tracked and gives a different outcome to different people.

I didn't get the e-mail but did seem to be able to register and got the correct message re: £25 gift cards. I'm not too hopefull of them showing up but figured it was worth a go.

I got 'BOOK DIRECT PTS/GIFT CARDS' which implies there is a mix of points and gift card options available. Nothing under 'My Offers' yet.

Same message for me (and nothing in 'My Offers') - I have a weekend stay which should post on Thursday and will be my first since I registered for this last week, will report back on what posts...

If this is for ANY bookings then surely one could book a cheap hix and pocket the points/status. Or am I missing something?

No, that seems correct - although you would struggle to find a rate below £39 in the UK (there is a HI offering some weekend 2-4-1s at £35 total), it only seems to be for up to 5 stays and may be targeted - so you could get nothing or 5k points instead

Had to call up to query where had my 5k points gone (I got the points not cash targetted email). The promo had not appeared on my account on-line list so thought maybe disappeared into a black hole. As it happened, no it had not, he could see it was registered. The explanation as to why not was that the 1k for 60nights takes priority as the first registered deal and until that expires the 5k one won't apply. In fairness he checked it, researched it and called back a few days later to say that was the case.

I said no way, I have got the email confirmations and the targetted email from PC too, you shouldn't send a confirmation unless the deal is going to work and credit. After a little discussion, points awarded.

I would suggest there is something up with their IT systems, which we know are not great, or maybe they are getting smart on some 'stacking' of promotions when customers are not sent a targetted email. As it happens I have stacked in the past but this time I had all the emails to back it up, not least as there have been so PC offers this year compared to last.

I can't register for this promo and maybe its targeted.

But I stayed in a Crowne Plaza ( South East Asia) last week and was given this US$25 voucher for dining. I am not sure if this voucher is for dining only or you can also use it for the total bill. I used mine in dining plus the $35 the airline gave me as an allowance for a cancelled flight.

The coupon was given to me upon check in.

General points posted for a stay last week over the weekend and there wer no specific point for this promo. Fingers crossed for the gift card arriving soon.

I had a family member account that wasn't in the UK, but could easily have been the UK, it was saying 'code invalid', changed their address to the UK, accepted immediatly.
