Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Interline Connection at Dubai

I am travelling on CX later this week from DXB to TPE via HKG. I originated from DOH. DOH-DXB-DOH sectors are on a separate ticket to be issued by Emirates. The connections times outbound (DOH-DXB-HKG-TPE) at Dubai is 2 hrs while the one on reverse is 1.25 hrs on the flights recommended by the travel agent. I have the following questions:

1. Emirates flights arrives at DXB-3, while CX flights utilizes DXB-1, are the connection times enough for the connection?
2. Can my bags be checked through the destination upon initial check-in at Doha and Taipei?
3. Do I have to have a Dubai entry visa for the transfer? (If there is no through check-in, do I have to clear immigration and customs at DXB for the transfer?)
4. Does anyone know if the bags can be short checked to HKG on the return or can I check-in an additional bag in HKG? (I have to pick up another pick of luggage at home.)

Any insights will be very helpful. Thanks.

Sorry - your local travel agents are clueless. I can see the SQ fare on my CRS (and I'm based in the US) although it needs to be issued in Qatar including all the connections. Funnily enough SQ website will not show the fare. Its kinda useless.. but that's another story on another post. You may alternatively book it as : DOH-x/DXB-x/SIN-TPE//HKG-x/SIN-x/DXB-DOH. Then you just buy a oneway TPE-HKG.

1. Outbound is fine but inbound you have a illegal connection (MCT=90min).

2. Generally speaking EK and CX have no problem tagging bags to each other's onward FLT. However, due to the illegal transit on the way back, at TPE (or HKG) CX staff may refuse to do so.

I'm using Sabre.
Abacus doesn't show many published fares even though its hosted by Sabre.

Thanks for everyone's reply. I did not know there is a CX general sales agent in Doha, that for sure will be handy sometime. I called CX e-service centre and the lady asked for my EK ticket number to be entered into the CX booking record.

For connection at Dubai, I assume that I should look for the connection desk after deplaning and then proceed to the boarding port for the connection flight. (I could not find any directions on the Dubai Airport website. :()

I am looking forward to the trip, thanks for everyones' input.
