Travel News - Get me to the airport!

In several cities it's not uncommon for someone who is supposed to depart from one airport to find that they are at the wrong airport when planning to depart. Cities with multiple airports may find this behavior.

Interesting.... Thats got to be a cruddy feeling.

Happened to my boss a couple of times back many years ago. He never really learned to actually check and double check.

Two years ago I did the same thing but in reverse— went to BWI instead of IAD. Oddly enough, I actually got better flights both times— upgraded from a middle seat on the first incident, and a more direct routing on the second that actually got me to the destination earlier than the original itin— on Thanksgiving!

Both times I got stamped through security with nary a batted eyelid. The gate agent couldn't take care of me at the gate during the second incident, and had me go out to the ticket counter to get rebooked. The TSA ID checker recognized me and jokingly asked whether I'd flown around the world already. He was not so loud after I quietly explained that he had let me through with an invalid boarding pass….

Best of people have found themselves in the wring place, even the wring continent, to which we can trace out origin. :D

I have the opposite problem. Taxi drivers at LGA don't always know where Brooklyn is so I have to give them directions. (But usually they can find it from JFK. :) )

The guy in the article just happened to have a reporter riding along?
