Qantas Frequent Flyer - Wine/beer service on domestic Y

Hi,

one question: what is alcoohol-serving standard policy on domestic QF Y? I ask because on SYD-BNE I was offered 2 bottles of red for free and, only a couple of days later, I was asked to pay for a bottle of the same red on a Y BNE-CNS flight.

Inconsistency much?

After 4pm on Cityflyer services , Qantas offers free alcoholic beverages

SYD-BNE is a Cityflyer service, so if a post 4pm flight, getting the wine for free would be expected

On other services , alcoholic drinks are charged for.

Flights to Cairns are not designated as Cityflyer services , so on any flight to Cairns, wine would be charged for, regardless of the time of day

Also of note is that the complimentary alcohol on city flyer flights is only on weekdays, not weekends. Only exception to this is flights to and from PER where alcohol is served complimentary daily after 12 pm

Except Qantaslink flights where the complimentary alcohol is served on flights after 4pm 7 days a week.
