Can anyone tell me where the plane for 3987 (CLT - CAE) is coming to CLT from (what flight number?) Thanks.

Looks like it's coming from CHA as US 3629, due in at 9:20 pm and currently on time.

You can find this out at many airport web sites, including CLT, by looking at the arrival boards for the airport. For CLT, go to http://flights.charmeck.org/ then under arrivals choose the airline and leave the city blank. This will bring up all arrivals and you can search for your gate to see what's arriving there before your flight is scheduled to depart.

For all the hate United gets, one feature I love about ual.bomb is the feature that allows you to track the plane that is making up your flight without having to deduce the flight based on gate information or the like. It makes delay anticipation a tad bit easier.

Flightaware.com has an incoming flight feature. Just type in your flight information (you have to use AWE instead of US for the flight prefix). Then there will be a button to the right of the map that says incoming flight. This is particularly useful because you get a better idea of when you should leave the lounge and head towards your gate, or whether your really can squeeze in that extra martini...Like a charm...
