I vaugley recall the olympic camera promo tracked for a few days under my promotions. It hasn't been there for weeks now though, does anyone see it?

I should have easily qualified for it, just a shame it isn't tracked.

I never saw any reference whatsoever of the camera offer in 'my offer status'. However, when what was my 6th night posted, I noted the "LONDON OLYMPICS OFFER 0 pts.", which I presume is the camera qualification. Hope it turns up soon!:

Qualifying Nights 2
Earning Details 1,056 pts.
PLATINUM BONUS 528 pts.
LONDON OLYMPICS OFFER 0 pts.
250 POINTS FOR BOOKING ONLINE 250 pts.

20,000 POINTS OR 4,000 MILES 1,000 pts.
20,000 POINTS OR 4,000 MILES 1,000 pts.

Anyone receive the camera yet? They were supposed to be delivered by 31st August.

I tried calling Priority Club but the representatives are firstly not aware of the promotion.

After a while waiting they said that there had been an upsurge in demand and the number of members qualifying was significantly more than they had budgeted for.

The rep said that they would be contacting all eligible members by email to confirm when the camera's will be sent out.

I recieved an email today telling me I had qualified for the camera, but that the demand had been higher than expected so it may not be the camera named in the promo, but it would be the same make and similar specifications. It said it should arrive by the 12th of October. I am very happy with that :)

After registering the camera part of the promo did not track anywhere on my page, so there is still hope :)

Dear member,

We are pleased to confirm that you have qualified to receive a Panasonic camera as part of our recent Priority Club® Rewards promotion.

Due to a fantastic response to this promotion the fulfilment of cameras has taken slightly longer than expected but we assure you we will have your new camera delivered to you by Friday 12th October 2012. The Panasonic camera you receive may not be the exact camera detailed in the promotional material but, in line with the terms & conditions, it will be a Panasonic camera of a similar specification.

We apologise for this delay and hope that it does not cause any inconvenience.

Thank you for staying with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express and we hope you enjoy your new Panasonic camera!

Kind regards,

IHG London 2012 Team

I've not received the camera. It tracked for me, correctly, on my 6th night from registering. Colleagues have received the 'delivery by 12th October' eMail, but not me (have checked 'junk'). So I tried an eMail to PC. Their reply:

Thank you for contacting Priority Club Rewards regarding your Platinum Elite account. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you with your concern.

Please accept our apology for the delay in response. We have experienced high email volume than normal. We would like to inform you that the cameras would be sent to the qualified members’ postal addresses between 23 July 2012 and 31 August 2012. However, due to the success of the offer wherein members will receive the Panasonic Lumix S3WKIT-2012 digital camera, the number of members who qualified surpassed the forecast; therefore, we will be unable to fulfill within the timeline initially laid out in the terms and conditions. Nonetheless, an email will soon be sent-out to all qualified members containing the information about the delivery of the camera.

...which doesn't really say a lot, I thought. Given that everyone I know has received the 'delivery by 12th October' eMail, I thought I would try another eMail to confirm that there will be subsequent eMail shots and deliveries. Their latest reply:

Thank you for your reply.

Foremost, please accept our apology for the delay in response as we are currently experiencing high volume of email contact.

We regret to inform you that we do not have information as to when the next batch of emails will be sent. Rest assured that you will be receiving an email about the new timeline for the reward delivery.

Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us as we value your patronage. Should you require further assistance, please feel free to contact the Priority Club Service Center again.

..so I can be assured that there will be more eMails and I will receive one....sometime.

I'm afraid I think this has been handled pitifully. Promotions handled well can enhance a brand. But handled badly and it is worse than no promotion at all (anyone remember the Hoover free flights fiasco many years ago?) I consciously gave business to IHG for this promotion that would have gone elsewhere. I kept my part of the bargain - they have fallen far in my estimation.

Mine arrived about 10 days ago. I got a white Panasonic Lumix DMC-S3 with the 2012 Olympic logo on it but no case for it so not the model advertised in the promotion.

I can't remember what we were meant to get, it's so long ago.

Mine was different to yours though as it had no logo, plus I'm sure box said it was S2, rather than S3

Are any fellow FTs who qualified still waiting for the camera? I chased up again mid-December and received:

Dear DavesInn,

Thank you for taking time to respond.

Please be advised that your information will be passed directly to the distribution company who will get in touch with you to confirm delivery of the camera.

We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you as we value your patronage. Should you require further assistance, please feel free to contact the Priority Club Service Center again.

Just taken a call from IHG, they can't fulfill my camera so have given me a chunk of points instead. Don't know if it's equivalent, but hey-ho, better than nothing.

I'll ask the obvious question - how many points are they offering?

The Nikon coolpix (MH672) used to be 91,000 points, I've not looked lately and I guess it's not exactly equivalent..

40k, so about £200 or so, maybe? Happy enough I suppose. And I already have a digital camera and a couple of DSLRs anyhow.

I thought they'd forgotten me too, but received a voicemail & eMail this morning (Saturday in the UK). Replied to the eMail, 40k 'goodwill' straight into the PC account. eMail was from a "customer retention specialist" - this department seemed very efficient (if only all PC CS was to the same standard); pity it's traken so long to get here. Anyway, fairly happy now..

DavesInn, who did you write to?

So far I have emailed twice and sent in a feedback form from the web site.

My (several) eMails were only to the standard:

+Priority Club Service Center (EMEA) [mailto: priorityclubEMEA@ihg.com]

..and to be fair I always did get a response. But this was typical of them:

"We are still coordinating with our contacts regarding your concern. Rest assured we shall be updating you on the matter as soon as possible."

...Then there would be silence for 4-6 weeks until I eMailed again.

A colleague took his call about 8 days before me, hence me feeling they had forgotten me. My gut feel after Saturday is that they will get round to everyone who has complained...eventually. The eMail on Saturday acknowledged I had previously enquired: "We are sending this correspondence as a follow up to the previous communication we received from you regarding the Panasonic London Olympic Offer".

Hope it works out,

Dave

Sent reply back saying yes please, then got a reply saying my concern was being looked into and they will be in touch!!!!

Good result,

I got my camera last year. No great shakes, would have happily had 40k points instead. I guess they dont count for status, but a result for you guys if they do.
