Chase Ultimate Rewards - Canceled Chase BA Visa from last year, miles revoked

I canceled my BA Chase Visa from the old 100k promotion about 10-11 months in and I just logged into my account and they jacked my miles.

FYI.

I will be calling them after putting all the info. together. :mad: I did a search found no one in my shoes. :(

Timeslines pls - when was the card opened and when was it closed? I have had many Chase cards and never faced this problem as long as it was closed 7-8 months after opening. If it has been more than 7 months between the open and close, this might be a new policy. All the more reason for being very very careful with Chase :(.

I had to close a chase card in just three months earlier this year as I applied for more chase cards, and did not have any problems with the bonus points earned on that card.

Still have my points, my wife has her points also, both cards have been canceled.

Points being used this week on 3 different trips. no problem.

Held them 11 months.

Update: Long Story...

I had used 60k already from the BA promo, so there was 40k and some change left.

I used the 40k but then canceled that booking. The 40k never got reinstated, I thought they were pulled.. lol.
