LAN LANPASS - Purchasing LAN South America airpass if arriving with IB

Hello There,
I have a return ticket TLV-LIM, GIG-TLV with IB. I'm currently trting to purchase LA airpass via LA.com, but I'm facing some troubles. I hope you will be able to help me overcome them.

I get the price for the required itinerary on this page: http://www.lan.com/en_un/sitio_personas/southamericanairpass/index.html?otid=328786&s_cid=UN_interno_20101206_home_vitrina1_southameri canairpass and I get a specific price (say, 600$).
However, while trying the book using the link there for oneworld bookings, i get a price of 1000$, even though all flights are in H tariff.

Can you please help me with this, and give me your advices? thanks.

Hello. First, the the price you see, $600 in your example, includes fuel surcharge but does not include taxes and airport charges, so the final price will be several hundred dollars more, depending on the number of segments. Also in your example, is the $1000 the total price or price before taxes? (you will see that on the purchase page)

What is odd is that if you arrive to SA on LAN they ask for the international booking code, if you arrive on other OneWorld, they do not ask for a code, yet you do get H fare. Odd.

Either way, you just might have to give LAN a call to see what solution they offer. There is no requirement to buy the pass online, the call centres can do it... and questions are free. :) I would recommend the lan.com option in the call menu.
