Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - No "discounted" fare in the web for 2013?

I triedto book flight on 2-Jan on CX webite, but seem only full fare is avail.

Any idea when CX will upload fare for 2013?

Its kinda early for any 'discounts'.

Originating from SIN, your best bet might be to check with travel agents' there to see if they have any specials. But generally most airlines post fares 3 months in advance.

@Guy actually I am referring to "normal" V class fare (aka slightly restrcited fare). They only have Y fare from 1Jan onward. SIN-TPE-Sin on economy is $3883

Looks like something's broken. It happens every now and then with ex-SIN fares. Should get fixed in its own time. However, travel agents should be able to access more normal fares.

I would agree its a bit too far out for intra Asia discounted fare.if you are worry about seat being sold out I would reserve a V subclass seat first if you are nor gold elite or more, but honestly I won't be too worry about it until 3 months prior to travel.

Don't expect a lot, regardless if the system has issues or not.

The time you want is exactly a holiday season. Unless extreme cases, normally airlines do not decrease fares.

Try using www.zuji.com.sg as a gauge for your CX flights during that period.
But Jan 2 - 5 is still considered peak travel period for most flights anywhere.

The dummy booking with zuji show SGD 531.90 as a price, but no idea what subclass is this.

I prefer cheaptickets.sg, dummy booking from this site shows $538 and the subclass is B.

That's why I say reserve a V subclass seat (booking) using traditional ticketing hotline / CX office / TA that you can try book your seat without an underlying fare rule available yet (which I am not sure if they allow that, worth trying if you want to confirm you seat today)

It is definitely available though all the flight all subclass, it is more than safe to reserve the seat later in my opinion

Thanks. I have just called TPECX. Was told that they do not have any "I" class fare for ex-TPE from 1 Jan 2013. Will not know if they will have such fare going forward as all fare are controlled by CX HKG office.

"I" class fares ex-TPE to Mainland China are available online.

I haven't been able to find "I" class for MNL, BKK, SIN etc.

Been juggling the elements of a leisure trip over the past week due to this exact reason... disappearance of the I fare ex-TPE. :mad:

But yeah, given how much carriers like BR charge ex-TPE, CX can afford to do this. :rolleyes:
