Just call reconsideration on Monday that's my plan as well even though my score is a bit lower than yours. I'm guessing I was denied because of too many recent inquiries: I opened 3 CC accounts two weeks ago (none with BoA though).

however, the CSR wouldn't confirm the 400 off 500. she kept on saying that it would be set up like it was in the "email." she did mention the 0% for 15months, so that makes me feel better about it. I guess I'll call back in a few days and find out.

Called last night and it seems like the deal is no longer available.

Got my card in the mail on Saturday. The flyers included in the packet confirmed the $400 off of $500 as well as a 10% bonus if you deposit the cashback into a Bank of America checking/savings account.

I think you're good to go. You have 90 days so if the bonus doesn't post after your first statement then you still have 2 to go...

I have a strange situation on which I am hoping to get some insight.

I was approved (and very pleased) for the offer and thought I would be getting $400 cash back (as the offer states) for $500 spent.

However, they are now telling me that the $400 cash back is actually rewards points (rather than cash back) and the value is around $25.

Is this correct that people have only gotten $400 in Ultimate Rewards rather than $400 cash back which was my expectation?

Ultimate Rewards is a Chase program. I assume a Bank of American card would use WorldPoints? How did you calculate the value as $25?

I think you spoke to a misinformed CSR. I signed up for a BoA Cash Rewards card about a year ago when the offer was $250 cash back after $500. The BoA system requires you to redeem in 2500 point increments which is worth $25 or $27.50 if you redeem for cash in your BoA checking account. You can also redeem for a number of gift cards, statement credits, or a check. For this offer you should receive 40k points after meeting the spending requirement.
