Hi, I will be flying KLM to Amsterdam then Singapore Air to New Zealand. Does anyone know if KLM would check my bags all the way through. Does KLM and Singapore Air have a baggage handing interline agreement.
Thanks Densie

Yes they have.

Yes, KL has an interline agreement with SQ. However, are you travelling on one ticket, or two separate tickets?
I understand that for some routings to NZ, KL will sell interlined tickets with SQ via SIN*. If you have such a ticket, KLM should automatically tag your bags all the way through to NZ.
If you're travelling on two separate tickets, then they should be able to tag your bags all the way through, but you'll have to ask (and show them the eticket for the SQ sector). However, I've occasionally encountered problems with this sort of thing (especially on very long-haul sectors, although I haven't tried on the same combination of KL+SQ), and been told things like "sorry, we can't check your bags all the way through, as the onward flight is not 'open' in the system yet".
* which strikes me as a bit strange, as they also code-share with MH via KUL.

FWIW, the combination of DL and SQ, whether on separate tickets or not, seems not to cause any problems with checking bags through. I've done this even with very long connections (overnight).
Be sure to have printouts of all tickets and itineraries with you, including both ticket numbers (the most recent if the ticket has been reissued) and both PNRs.

Baggage will be checked through no problem. But you'll most likely have to pick up your boarding pass in Singapore - even if its on one ticket.
