Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Z gates of hell @FRA
Transferring to US bound flights in FRA from Z gates is getting worse and worse. It is becoming hell gates. There is no good way to get to the gates quickly, no priority lanes, just a large big mess.
And then, when you arrive to the tower lounge, there is another queue for people waiting to be seated.
Just turned around. Who knows how much longer will this last.
I'll take C over Z departure gates any day

Well, you never know on construction projects :p. As far as the masses are concerned, they are currently handling most of the flights via apron positions already so the current masses will be spread onto a wider area. LHs fleet expansion is pretty much done, new 748s will replace existing 744s and some 343 will retire...?

I was in the Tower Lounge yesterday and it was a misery. No place to sit, or stand... Just a *mass* of people in there. When will there be a proper Senator Lounge in the Z concourse???

When Pier A-Plus opens later this year if you believe this presentation (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/16110300-post340.html) from 2009. Presumably one of the two new SEN lounges will be non-Schengen.

The original plan of the Tower Lounge was only to be temporary as long A0 is under construction. I hope they will keep the lounge even after they are done with A0. It can be a nice place with a great view but right now it is often over capacity.
