Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - HKG-LAX, no more first class service?

I just read a post on Airline Route Blog about the introduction of premium Y on LAX route. It says that CX884/885 will be operated by 77G (no first class) and other two flights, CX880/883 and CX882/881, will also get premium Y. Does this mean that LAX will eventually lose the first class service or those other two flights will be flown by 4-class 77H?
Here's the post from Airline Route Blog.

nope :)
only CX884/885 will have no F-class while CX880/883 and CX882/881 still have F-class :D
the one i am most upset is CX838/837, which generally will no longer have F-class

Aw that sucks. I didn't even know that!
I much prefer 837/838's dep/arr times to 888/889 :(

Yea that's unfortunate, but I can certainly understand the demand for premium economy to be much higher than first class. And LA isn't a huge business travel market like NY or London, so it's understandable from that angle too.
But considering they recently moved from 2 flights a day to 3 a day anyway, this isn't a huge issue, still 2 flight choices in first.
Can't wait until the new Tom Bradley terminal is done. Hopefully it will be worldclass.

The title of this thread I'm sure will easily confuse people...there IS F class on LAX for the foreseeable future!! On 2x daily flights!
It's just the 3rd daily flight - which has been on and off for the past 5 years anyway - that won't have F. Unfortunately it's catchy, but deceiving thread titles like these which inevitably get new folks who come here for info confused.

I wonder how much capacity is used on the LAX to HKG route vs some others, ie JFK or SFO
