Hi,

I will be traveling from DFW-IAH-SIN-MAA on Singapore airlines (DFW-IAH through United) with a 12 hour layover at Singapore. Do I have to claim and recheck my bags at Singapore?

I tried to call Singapore airlines but they have long hold times.

Thank you

Depends on where your bags are tagged to..

If you manage to get the check-in agent at DFW to tag your bags all the way to MAA, you don't have to claim and recheck your bags.

If you need your bags in SIN for the 12 hours layover, request for your bags to be tagged to SIN. Claim and recheck in for your flight to MAA..

I believe SQ will transfer your baggage to your final destination. Be sure to check with the agent at the checkin counter in DFW, or SQ agent in IAH.
