Hi all
I am about 500 miles away from being DM. This is my last month to qualify and have a flight booked on the last day of the month. It should have been sorted way earlier, but I have reduced my travel after becoming a father earlier this year.
Would this last day travel be concern for any issues or computer glitch in getting the DM status? After all it is the actual flight and not the posting of miles that count, right?
Cheers

You can give a call to MPC to ask for an extension for a week to include the flight for consideration. Miles will be counted as Club Miles for status based on crediting date and not on transaction/flying date.

Call them a few days in advance and ask them to renew you. They will.
Then use your new miles towards your next calendar year.
They should not give you any trouble to renew 500 miles short.

...no. It sounds like you're hoping for the above, but kinda suspecting CX may be dumb enough to do it the other way.....which, in fact, would be correct! It's when the miles post. Which is stupid, but that's the way CX's system automatically does it if you aren't in touch with them about it in advance.
I would be pretty shocked if, after all was said and done they screwed you out of DM (presumably after you call and argue it with them, because it sounds very likely like your miles will post after your year resets), but hence this is why all the posters above recommend you call them first. Otherwise there is a (very high) chance your year will reset without you making DM, and a small but real chance that when you call the clowns at MPC to explain why you should have made DM, you'll be in touch with an absolute dolt who won't help you. Then you'll have to write a letter, find an email address, and waste more time.
So just call them first to give them a heads up.
Thanks all.
I gave them a call, they asked me to call back August 1st and they would fix it for me.
