Hi,
I'm about to book a trip from Brazil to Argentina for next December.
I'm looking at flights LA6536 & LA6477 and can't figure out if it's a LAN Airlines or LAN Argentina flight.
My main concern since I'll be flying economy is to know whether or not the benefits of my CX Diamond status (OneWorld Emerald) will apply for these flights. Not sure I'd be entitled to any benefit if the flights were with LAN Argentina instead of LAN Airlines.
Update: my reservation shows it's a LAN Airlines ticket but the flight is operated by "TAM for LAN Argentina". What does that mean in terms of OneWorld benefits for me?
Will I have to checkin at TAM or LAN counter? Will I be able to use the Business class checkin counter or not?

Any LAN will recognize / grant your OneWorld status and its benefits. It is just I do not know what are Diamond benefits. LAN Premium benefits matches Ruby OneWorld, LAN Premium Silver is Saffire, LAN Comodoro is Emerald in OneWorld. If Diamond gives you priority check in then you can use it at the LAN check in counter.

Thanks for your answer.
CX Diamond Status = OneWorld Emerald
So you're confirming that on this LAN ticket operated by TAM, checkin is with LAN & I will be granted one world benefits?

Here is the relevant info regarding benefits for LAN and TAM FFs from LAN.com (but I am not sure if they will be extending the same benefits to alliance partners at this stage):
Has the boarding process changed?
No. The process to step up on the plane at the boarding gate remains the same. There will still be an anticipated boarding for passengers with special needs and a preferential line for First and Business classes in TAM, and Premium Business and Premium Economy in LAN, plus the passengers from the superior categories in the LANPASS and TAM Fidelidade programs.
Will I have access to the LAN and TAM VIP lounges?
Yes. Passengers from LANPASS Comodoro and Premium Silver categories, as well as Black and Red TAM categories will have access to the VIP of both companies, which means the LAN lounges in Santiago airport and TAM lounges in the airports in Brazil and Paraguay. The access to the lounges of other airlines will remain the same for now just as before the LAN and TAM merge: only LANPASS Comodoros and Premium Silver will be allowed to enter oneworld lounges, and TAM Fidelidade Black and Red clients will be allowed into Star Alliance. Any changes regarding these services will be communicated with its due anticipation.
However, if the flight is "operated by TAM" then you should check in at the TAM counter. Since TAM flies out of Terminal 1 in GRU you might be able to access the Iberia Lounge using your OW credentials (I would recommend carrying a copy of the eticket showing that it was ticketed by LAN and showing the LAN flight number).

It does remain unclear as to what OneWorld Emerald (non LAN) members should expect...

Hmm So you are a Emerald OneWorld and LAN will recognize this status (probably even on your boarding pass) and you should get all the benefits associated with Comodoro / Emerald... priority check in and boarding, lounge, even a special welcome in the announcements ;) on a LAN tix... or am I missing something?

Bingo,
I think the issue is that the flight is on TAM metal and "Emerald" printed on the boarding pass could easily result in a blank stare from a TAM ticket or gate agent. I would love to hear from any OW elite who has traveled on TAM since the merger. Technically, the OP could be denied benefits because they are not departing on a flight "operated by a One World member airline".
From the One World web site:
Members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes with the equivalent of oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status can use any lounge offered by any oneworld airline when departing on any flight marketed and operated by any oneworld member airline*, no matter in which cabin class they are flying.
(* oneworld flights do not include codeshare flights with non-oneworld airlines, even those marketed by a oneworld Member but operated by a non-oneworld carrier or those operated by a oneworld Member but marketed by a non-oneworld carrier)
