Just received this in the mail, did a little searching and didn't see any thread on it. "Business Gold Reward Card". Spend $10k in first 5 months, receive 100k MR points. Fee waived first year; $175 thereafter.
I haven't done any new cards since last Oct, so thinking this is a good one to jump on at this time, right? Probably should close some unused cards I have, right?
The only other one I may go after right now is United Explorer 60k (my main airline). I already have personal-platinum; and personal-SPG. Across both of those wife and I averaged last 12 months at $4600 total per month.

Great offer. Personally, I'd do this one b4 UA since Amex tends to be stricter.

This is a great offer. The most recent public offer was 75k points for $10k spend and I jumped on that. This is way better and I would grab it.

First, get with the program ;) ....9 months is entirely too long to wait between credit card applications.
Second, I would absolutely jump on this offer.....and I would jump on the United offer. The United bonus only requires $1k spending in 3 months. With your current spending patterns you could easily hit the minimum spends for both cards (plus a few more).

And please add the word "targeted" in the title because that's what it is apparently.

I just got a targeted 50K , no fee, 5k in 5 months. Thoughts? Seems like a high spending requirement for 50K to me.

Got this one too, but didn't do it because I had already done the 75k public offer which is obviously a lot better. 5k is a bit high but it's in line with what Amex is after when offering bonus points of 50k and higher.

Has anyone had any success this year with contacting AmEx about any of the targeted offers, and having it extended?
I've never been targeted with an offer to open a new account for bonus MR, so earlier this year when I read about one of the 100,000 bonus MR offers, I contacted AmEx and asked if I might apply. Was told no, that I wasn't targeted, but that they would note my interest.
A few months later, I read here about additional offers for 75,000 or 100,000 bonus MR for the Gold Business card, the Platinum Personal card, etc., etc. So again I asked and was given an equally rude response that these offers were targeted and I was not a recipient of such targeting.
I'm a Cent. card holder, have been with AmEx since 1995, perfect payment record, etc. Obviously, I won't get any offer to 'upgrade' my account, since there isn't a higher card. But having expressed my interest in one of these new accounts with bonus MR, which could be either Biz or Personal, Gold or Platinum, I'm more than a bit miffed that I'm consistently told no.
I generally send my request via the email messaging center. Last time, after being denied, I asked that a manager review my request, and then just got a similar response from someone claiming to be an 'email response team' manager.
So, has anyone asked for one of these targeted offers without initially being targeted and managed to get one?

Used the RSVP code and approved today.
Interesting on the Cent card. Wonder if having that high level card makes them think you wouldn't want a lesser card and hence no offers? Very interesting.

Got the 75k offer today after $5k spend in 5 months. What airline/hotel has the best value for transferring these points to other than BA?
