Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - What is the best beach vacation property in the Carribean/Mexico

I am planning a trip with my wife and wanted some insight. We have stayed at the Marriott Stellaris Aruba and the JW Cancun. We're looking for the best beach property. We'll be using points, and really miss the all inclussive point package we used in Aruba! Any suggestions?

Meanwhile--my $0.02 suggestion is the JW Guanacaste in Costa Rica. All of the other Marriott offerings in Caribbean/Mexico are mediocre at best.

All of the other Marriott offerings in Caribbean/Mexico are mediocre at best.I wouldn't say the Grand Cayman RC is "mediocre". It can be pricey I'll admit, but it's not anything close to "mediocre".

I also agree on this property in CR, +2

In Mexico, i like the west side, so as to watch the sun set. check out the PVR Marriott, great pool & an ok golf course nearby. Its only a $20 cab ride from the airport & the trolley can take you into the old town.

How does one fly into Guanacaste? Also, is it safe?

If you can wait two or so years, Marriott just announced a new JW property will be built in the Turks and Caicos Islands...

And another JW is scheduled to open in Coco Beach Puerto Rico next year.

they've made several such announcements and many of their expected properties have never come to fruition, so until I see it ready for booking I'm not going to hold my breath.............
