I'm going to be flying NRT-LAX on Sept 4th on ANA with 3 people (including me) in the same reservation. As a UA *G (the other two are general members), I know I can bring one of my companions in to the lounge, but what can I do with the third? Does ANA sell day passes or what not?
Anyone know what my options are?
Thanks,
atcanobbio
PS: How's ANA's Y in-flight service? It's going to be my first time flying with them. :D

Day pass to ANA lounge is ¥5000. Details here. (https://www.ana.co.jp/wws/japan/e/asw_common/promotion/ana_my_choice/lounge.html)
Alternatively, there is a United Club at NRT that used to do day passes also.

This is a possible option.
There is 3 lounges you can use.
2 ANA lounges
1 UA lounge.
Take one person to one ANA lounge and the other to the UA lounge...you will be seperated, but it will work.

Sorry to hijack the thread (sort of): are *A F customers allowed into ANA Suites Lounge? I can't seem to find a definite answer either here or on ANA web site.

Yes. The three lounges available to F customers are the NH Suite Lounges and the UA IFL.

Thanks! Any suggestions which one I should use? We're departing on OZ.

There is a NH F lounge by gate 50s, and one by gate 40s, UA IFL is by gate 30. OZ will depart out from gate 40s.
The NH F lounge by gate 50s are bigger than the one by gate 40s, other than that they both serve the same thing.
The food in NH F lounge in NRT are ok, nothing exciting, other than those one bit size amuse bouche and dessert, and also cook to order chicken rice bowl, everything the same as C lounge. When you walk in there, once you sit down, someone will give you a cold towel and ask you what you like to drink, then after that is all self serve, the attendant is not going to come back for any food or drink orders.
NH F lounge shower kit is by Thann. UA IFL shower kit may still be Murad, or Plegria, haven't been there recently, so can't say which one.

Yes, SQ IFC passengers, even without status, are sent to the ANA lounge, although you can also use the UA IFC lounge or both.

LH and LX F pax can also use the NH Suite Lounges but they don't start serving any proper food until 10 or 11 am. If you are flying to FRA or ZRH, it's a nice quiet lounge but that's about all. Food and drinks menu may be found here (https://www.ana.co.jp/wws/japan/e/asw_common/checkin/lounge/nrt/pdf/narita_menu_120606.pdf).

When did the no early food policy start? I've never noticed any difference based on time of day, but maybe I haven't been awake enough in the morning to notice.

I haven't been there for several months but the last few times I was there (towards the end of 2011) there was so little food I nearly took a picture of the almost empty food counter. It's been like that for the last couple of years at least with a notice to that effect inside the lounge (by gate 40s).

thanks for the replies guys, I think i'm gonna admit one person to one lounge and the other to another lounge :) would I be fine if I do that?
also, when one goes iinto a lounge and their and their companion's boarding pass gets scanned, does that mean that the lounge has record that you brought in a companion and you cannot bring a different companion that same day?

Correct, and that's why you bring your 2nd companion into another lounge.

How are the ANA Suite lounges at NRT? Are they pretty much the same as the regular ANA lounges, but less crowded? Do they have hot food items comparable to the JAL F lounge?
Is the ANA Arrivals lounge worth a visit after arriving on a TPAC ANA flight?

They are similar, but in the Suite Lounge the staff will deliver drinks and food to you if you ask. In addition to the made-to-order noodles there are also curry and hamburg steaks. I suppose the alcohol is a notch better with champagne on offer.

The general rule for the Arrivals Lounge is: unless you're heading straight to a meeting, are connecting to a domestic flight, or must use the Internet for some reason, skip it and head to straight to your hotel.

Curry? Where's the curry? How could I have missed that all this time?!

I know they have made-to-order curry available from the same window as the noodles at HND, and I've heard reports of it being available at NRT. I won't be departing NRT on a *A carrier anytime soon so I can't say for sure :-(

At Narita, they have been serving the curry dish from the same noodle window when I last visited there about 10 days ago; however, I don't recall serving the curry dish in October.

Ok, thanks for the info, folks. I'm going to see what I can find when I'm at the NRT Suite Lounge on the 1st and then again on the 2nd.
BTW, were the referred to hamburger steaks the standard pre-prepared fare in the serving containers, or something made to order?

FWIW ANA lounge food and drinks menus can be found here.

They appeared to be part of the made to order menu along with the soba/udon and curry. (Again, this was at HND.)

Thanks for the menu link. Certainly seems to show the "ANA Original Curry" @ NRT as well. I will be ordering THAT tomorrow. :D

If NRT NH lounges consistently have カレー and hamburg steak, I'd have to give them a bit more credit. All I really need at NRT is a konbini post-security. Free wifi sounds decent too, but I don't have acesss to most of the convenience store stuff after leaving Japan.

For whatever reason, in the last 30 days, I've seen wi-fi "out" or "being fixed" or "having issues" at both the NH Suite Lounge and UA Global First Lounge at least twice in each lounge on different days. Seems to come back up pretty quickly though.

Well, thanks to this thread and actually paying attention to the menus this time, I was able to enjoy the curry twice, both ex-NRT in both Suite Lounges on Jan 1 and Jan 2. Pretty darn good! Thanks for the heads up, folks.

Great to hear it! (Though the jury's still out for me as to whose lounge curry is best: JL or NH...)

JL's beef curry is yummy! And I believe they serve them at both the business and first class lounges. I didn't see curry at the regular ANA lounges, but will have to look for it the next time I am at their Suites Lounge.

When i visited the nrt nh lounge (near gate 40) in nov 2012, curry rice was offered at the soba/udon station. is food different at the satellite lounge (near gate 50)?
