The tax listed is set by the goverment not the airline. US$2.50 sounds about right per segment. A lot less then say in the UK

thanks. i was just wondering if the invent some sort of fuel surcharges that united does not charge? so, redeeming a u.s. domestic flight should be 12.500 miles and 2.50 USD?

booked an award DFW-SFO-HNL-SFO on UA via M&M last year in September for May/June this year, taxes came to $5.60 per person or so.

I pay $5 for a UA domestic RT award ticket using TK miles.

No. It would be 12'500 miles each way, so 25'000 miles for a round trip in Economy.

One-way awards ar not (yet*) possible on M&M unless you stay on M&M airlines. None of them fly US domestic routes, so you will have to purchase a round trip if using M&M miles.
