This question (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other-north-south-america-frequent-flyer-programs/1359092-lacsa-now.html) came up over in another forum about whether or not LACSA(subsidiary of new *A member Taca) flights, which operate on their own airline code (LR), would accrue *A points (and be available for redemption).

Apparently they are eligible in the M&M program, and another poster spoke of issues with UA recognizing it.

Has anyone had experience getting US DM credit for a LACSA flight?

LACSA was a member of Grupo TACA since early 90's. So it is obvious for me thay are now part of AVIANCA/Taca. If it is obvious for US Airways, is another thing...

I inquired with US and got this response:

"The flights that have the LR instead of the TA will be earning miles on
US Airways as long as they meet the class of service for travel that
earns miles."
