We are going to the Philippines in October and will be flying from Manila to Boracay (likely Caticlan). It looks like this will be on Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines (dba Airphil Express). Both appear to have extremely restrictive baggage rules esp. on the small AC flying that route. For instance, even on the Cebu Pacific purchasing page, I am unable to pay for extra baggage though they allow for such payments on other routes.

What is the story on baggage on these flights? I can't find any good information about what to expect and what we would pay for either a second bag (i.e. a small carry-on and a small personal item) or for an overweight checked bag.

Thanks.

The baggage payments you are seeing on other flights is where they are offering tickets with no checked baggage allowance, unless you pay for it. (I believe)

You will have to pay at the airport when you check in.
I am pretty sure it is P150 per kg for anything over 10kg.
They are strict on the 10kg bag weight. So if you have 11kg, they will either ask for you to pay the excess or take out something.
You can take a carry on - not a full-rollaboard though, as these won't fit on most of the planes. Smaller backpacks and shopping bags are best.
