Except that you can't combine them on the same stay. The free breakfast rate is only available on fully paid stays. So you have to choose between free breakfast (but paying a lot) or discounted award (but no free breakfast).

It's a bit disappointing that the free breakfast offer is only available at 'participating' hotels. Can't compain too much though as Club Carlson are rolling out so many offers at the moment.
