It was a sobering moment when I connected in CLT tonight with an hour to spare. I sat at the piano on the concourse situated between B and C, like I have many times before, to tickle the ivories....
Alas, the piano was locked!:mad: I asked the waitress about it and she said the city of Charlotte has replaced the piano several times over the years and decided to lock it up, only making it available to a select few local contract pianists who come to play it. She said that she, nor the bar, didn't even have a key for it.
Fellow freelance pianists....you've been advised.....
