Hi,
I have been checking for the deals going to Dubai later this year. Today, i found that Spice jet is offering flights to Kabul, Dubai and Hongkong...So, i went and entered dates in September..checked and it showed Rs 2599 or something without taxes....I was really happy that it could be a promotion as they also had Kabul for a similar price one way...However, when i checked on RHS..the description of base price is more than Rs 5000 without taxes..Is that a glitch or am i missing something.....
Moreover, it would be worth waiting as there could be a promotion as they have recently launched Dubai...If the difference is more than Rs 4k, then it's worth to wait...unless i am better with major airlines excluding Indigo...
Thanks and Regards

Airline website usually offer special fares on their website that the don't sell to 3rd party booking websites/TAs.
If the fare is showing on the website, go ahead and book it! It's one of those airline deals you can brag to your neighbours about for the next 5 years :)

Hi,
Thanks for your response!!
When i checked i found that Rs 2599 is only base price and Rs 5499 including tax excluding fee....What a rip off.....The end price is more than even Indigo...i guess it's better to wait and see, if the price went down on Spice jet.....I am not sure that loads on DXB flights are such which makes even these airlines to charge more...i guess------global economy and other factors are still going against there airlines...Why in the world, Spirit is making much more profits than these airlines based in India...lol.....
Thanks and Regards

err, why do you think 5499 is a bad price to fly to DXB from BOM/DEL?? in today's circumstances even a bom-del flight is priced at rs. 4800+ by the LCCs, so i am guessing there is some overhead to be recovered for an intl flight which makes it slightly higher?

Taxes are also higher for international segments...

Can someone explain to me why do spice and indigo park their aircrafts at terminal 1 at Dubai and not at terminal 2 which is the low cost terminal. I might have mixed up the terminal number but I hope you get the drift. And I am sure they don't park at low cost terminal because I have seen them parked next to where we park all the time.

Airports usually attract airlines to the LCC terminal by offering far lower prices (through lower CPE). 6E and SG probably feel that the cost benefit of using the LCC terminal probably isn't enough to warrant.
IX does use the LCC terminal...

It does and that's what I expected these guys to do as well. Was shocked to see them in the other terminal. They cry hoarse about costs and the one
time they get to use a LCc service , they don't take it up.
