Would anybody, please, let me know whether there is some place where smoking is allowed in Milan, Rome or Palermo airports?

While I can't speak directly about the airports you mention, there may be some answers over in this thread

There is no place in MXP (I don't know as far as LIN is concerned).

There is at least one place in FCO -- a closed smoking room similar to what you will find in ATL. It is in boarding area G, between gates 8 and 9. It really is only convenient if you have a long connection or are flying out of the Shengen area as you have to go through Passport Control to get to it.

MXP has a smoking cabin out on the pier in the B gates.
FCO also has an area at the far end of the upstairs shopping plaza in T1

When did this start in MXP? I remember the very old days, when smoking was theoretically banned but in reality allowed in one area near the food court. Then it was actually banned.

I am happy to hear that it now has a smoking cabin but very surprised.

Don't know how long it's been there. Only found it since the loss of open doors lounge policy left me unable to use the BA lounge smoking room at times. It's hidden behind the escalator up to the airlines lounge.
