Mileage Run Discussion - Kayak pricing flights at -1

Hello, sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting but I am a bit new to this.

I have found that Kayak is pricing different flight combinations and airlines at -1 on the Kayak IPad app to a particular city in Asia. When you click it brings up the flight details but no option to book. This is obviously an error but I was wondering if there is anyway to possibly exploit it or if anyone has seen this before?

Hello all who have sent me a message - I am unable to reply as I have exceeded my daily (newbie) limit.

At this stage I am unable to book anything and I am reluctant to name the city right now in case I find a way to make it work. Sorry if I sound paranoid but months of lurking on this site have made skittish! If the consensus is I should just name the city please say so.

If anything changes I will let you all know and I will PM those who have sent me messages in the order they arrived once my privileges are reset.

I will say my ultimate destination is YVR from the east coast of Australia in December 2012 so if anyone has any tips or tricks I would most grateful. :)

Kayak isn't a booking engine, so I fail to see any potential here unless the pricing error also exists on the site they're pulling the data from.

I know there is probably no chance it is bookable but the big fat -1 next to the Singapore Airlines logo is taunting me.:p

Kayak often has unbookable flight pricing.
If you can't book it on any site it links to, its not a valid fare and no one should care about your post.

Hi - the pricing error I initially found on the Ipad App was for flights to and from TPE in December but it now pulling up the same error for other dates and cities. For example BNE-APW rtn 5/10/12-20/10/12 is priced at -1.

I have not been able to book through to any OTA.

You must select Kayak.co.uk as the search site in the preferences screen for the error to show up.

I've seen similar on kayak.co.uk over the last year. You can never click through and book them.

yes anyone knows kayak they used to have when clicking the hotel or deals the lowest price hotels of a place would come up (and is bookable too)... I think they have similar thing for now, but is different, anyone knows? Thanks!
