This property was right off the highway near the Fashion Square Mall. There was a sign advertising that it had won the 2011 Renovation Excellence Award. This sign surprised me due to the loud nails-on-chalkboard squeak that occurred every time the sliding front doors closed. My son used the pool and joined in with the kids who were diving to the bottom to retrieve pieces of ceramic tile that had chipped off the sides. My son later stepped on shards of broken tile and had cuts on the toes of both feet. When I brought the issue to the front desk clerk, she provided me with bandages. I did complain via survey that no maintenance workers were alerted to the issue and that I thought more should be done in terms of safety and received a "we're working on it" response. The room was typical in terms of comfort and decor, and the breakfast was the typical fare. It was worth staying there for the promo points, but there are many other similar chain hotels in the area, so I wouldn't stay there again because of my son's experience.
