Dear All,

You will be aware that our long-time luker Joanna left bmi recently. We are very pleased that we will continue to have an official presence here on Flyertalk's bmi board, so I would like to introduce DiamondClubQueries. ^

DiamondClubQueries is none other than Nicci from BA, who you probably already know as the luker next door in the BA forum. As there is only one of her, but two accounts to be managed, so I'm sure you'll understand that response times may be a little stretched; further, bmi's diamond club and its systems and day-to-day practises are all new to Nicci, so please bear this in mind when contacting her.

And welcome to Flyertalk, DiamondClubQueries.

Hi Nicci,
Flew SVG-LHR at the end of May (BA flight number, but bmi operated; eco flight booked and *G upgrade voucher used to business). As miles for the eco flight did not show in my DC account, I sent boarding card stub to DC on June 19th.
Until today, no miles... Any way you could help? Would be great to have this sorted soon so I can transfer to BAEC.

In your absence, there were some minor reports about purchases on the bmi shopping portal sitting in the 'pending' category longer than the usual 4 weeks.

I'm not sure this is a big deal (mind you, I'm only waiting for 1 mile from iTunes to credit, so I would say that :D) but if the system of automatic crediting has stalled, it might be worth looking at?

I have also now made a note in my diary to check this is done on or just after the 5th of each month as you would normally expect it.

With regards to shopping online transactions I will look into this ASAP

Out of interest are Hilton transactions processed the same way in BAEC or is it a more automated process that doesn't need human intervention?

Hi Nicci,

Do you have a contact email/phone number for bmi Regional? Although they have no link to BA or bmi Mainline anymore, as they're still using Diamond Club and flybmi.com presumably someone at bmi has a contact for them.

I have a few bookings for regional in the winter and would like to know what their plans are - you'd hope by now they'd at least have a good idea.

I was surprised to get another DC Gold card for the coming year but it is not clear from the bmi web site how I can take advantage of it. I have converted all my miles into Avios and now have a BAEC Gold card but can I for example, book an economy flight on a partner airline such as Jet or Qatar and use the relevant Lounge?

Can you comment generally on what is happening with BD>BA status matches? It seems many people here have been waiting for quite some time for the match to be processed. What is the typical waiting time at the moment and is there any specific reason why matches are being delayed?

Hi Nicci. I've posted a few times about this and also sent you a PM three weeks ago but still haven't heard anything. I just wanted to follow up a missing miles claim that I sent by snail mail back in June. Fortunately I'm not in a hurry to get the miles credited, but I'd like to know whether there's just a big backlog of claims to process or whether mine has been lost. A one line reply will suffice! If my claim has gone missing I can PM the details again or just e-mail DC, but I no longer have original boarding passes as I posted them in with the claim form.

Thanks Nicci, status was upgraded this morning. Like many others I've been given status for the remainder of the current membership year but not for the following year but from what I hear from others the gold status will be carried over for another year once August 2013 comes?

Hi there

Your status will be renewed for a further year at the end of your membership year. The expiry date is dependant on your individual tracking year and also the point at which you applied for the tier match

Is bmi Regional definitely ceasing to be a partner at the end of the month or is it just a case of miscommunication?

There's still nothing on flybmi.com, just a mention on the Speedbird Club trade site. Although it seems a while since flybmi.com was update, the bmi Regional city of the month is still the one for August!

(Then again even when the site was regularly updated the city of the month was often nonsense anyway - it was once 'Belgium', although it was eventually corrected to Brussels)

As the programme is slowly being wound down, some sort of official communication to the full membership seems appropriate.

Hi lyovushka and weclome to FT. I have deleted you account number - you shouldn't post such things on a public internet bulletin board.

Purchased miles do not appear in your account instantly - and that is advised as part of the buying process. If your bmi DC account is new, or has not had activity in some time, your transaction may be subject to scrutiny, you may even get a call. IN most cases, however, the miles will appear within 24 hours.

If it's been more than 48 hours, I would contact bmi in the first instance.

Thank you for your help. My diamond club account already shows my miles. The email receipt which I got instantly stated "Your Diamond Club account balance has been updated to reflect your purchase." That is why I was a little worried.

Two questions:
1. Is 3 days turnaround for bmi -> BA match applications still valid or I shall stay put for the next 21 day?
2. [Off topic] [rant on] Is IT Department lousiness contagious? One of the few things I liked about bmi and BA merger was my hope things will improve on bmi site (infamous for it bugs and glitches). In reality things seem to have worked differently - glitches and bugs have now hit BA site big time. Boost Your Avios (https://www.britishairways.com/travel/boost-your-avios/execclub/_gf/en_ie)registration doesn't work and neither does New Routes (https://www.britishairways.com/travel/double-avios/execclub/_gf/en_ie?source=R06)promo.[rant off]

I've been trying to chase up some missing miles for several months now. I originally e-mailed the claims back in March, but received a reply telling me to send them by snail mail. I did this a couple of months later, but heard nothing. I then followed up by sending you a PM. When I heard nothing back I posted on here and you said you hadn't received my PM and please could I send it again. I re-sent it and a few days later you replied and said the miles should be in the accounts. They never turned up, so since then I have sent you two further PMs but haven't heard anything back, so I'm wondering whether there is still a problem with you receiving my (and perhaps others') PMs.

Anyway, I'm just following up again here because I know that you see these messages even if you don't see the PMs. Apologies to everyone else for posting this in public.
