Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Best seat in Business class

Hi guys, what is the best seat in CX-873 from HKG to SFO? I am traveling alone, so I want to sit near the window.

I just flew in NBC to HKG. I can't see much of a difference from one window seat to the next. I was in 16A. I don't think 11A would have made a difference. They are very nice seats.

this is probably all in the sticky but personally, if the plane is 77D/77H, it is easy, 11K. 11A is too close to the soild linen bin. if 77G, 21K, 22K or 23K...smaller cabin and you also avoid all the traffic from Y+ to the washrooms in J on the A side...have some respect people.

I was fortunate enough to be in J on B-KQC yesterday. I believe it's currently CX's newest 777. Everything is still shiny.
It's a 77G, and I was in 21K. Great seat in the smaller J section. Very private. Definitely not for the claustrophobic, as you don't really see anything outside of your immediate cocoon. Not alot of noise. No one traipsing through. I would definitely recommend 21-23K on the 77G.

Guess the FAQ has to be updated as I do not see a section for good J seats on 77G/77H's even though the new product has been launched for well over a year already.

I'm not sure we have a thread on this one, actually. I know I started a thread a while back detailing which seats lack windows in J on 77D (and presumably that applies to 77H as well), but I haven't seen one for 77G. You can find that one by searching for "missing window" I think

We indeed have lots of scattered threads about 77H/77D/77G, but no consolidated place for them all. Heaps of info but admittedly not that well organized.

I'd be willing to help mods/ others consolidate if useful

Various configurations of the 77W get quite a bit of coverage, but I haven't found nearly as much about the Cirrus seats on the A330, in particular with regard to the J mini-cabin.

What do you all reckon are the best seats for a couple on the new configuration A330s? The only center pairs available are in the mini-cabin, with the exception of row 11.

I'm glad to see someone mention this. As an occasional lurker on this forum (I have my first ever CX flights coming up) I was going to ask some questions about seats in the new business class some time ago but was put off doing so by replies to other people saying: Read the FAQ, Read the sticky etc. On closer examination the sticky often doesn't contain the info being asked for!

Just an outsiders point of view, I'm still very grateful for all the information that I have found here.

Bump. On an A330 with the newest product (I believe--4 seats per row in J). Any thoughts?
